Totally Biased NFL Picks: Week 11

Big apologies to our loyal readers, as Kris and I ran into the brick wall we like to call “life”, last week, and didn’t publish our picks. Fear not, we made them anyway, and the scores are accounted for in our scoreboard.

Sit down though, this one might shock you.

I beat Kris… Again.

Also, be sure to be on the lookout soon, where we make a slight change to our pick layout, in hopes to switch it up a bit, and deliver top notch content. Without further ado, take a look below, and let us know what you think in the comment section below!

Thursday Night Football: An AFC Matchup Not Involving The Pats… ZZZZZ

TravBuffalo Bills
Kris: Buffalo Bills

Kris: Thurday Night’s game has potential. Potential to either put you to sleep or to actually be a good game. Buffalo’s offense looked great against the Patriots. Then again, everyone looks great against the Patriots. Ryan Fitzpatrick was having a good game until, well, he threw the game away. CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson will be some players to watch against Miami’s stout run defense. I’m taking the Bills at home.

The Opening Slate: 1pm Games

TravDallas Cowboys
Kris: Dallas Cowboys

Trav: The Cowboys are only a game behind the Giants in the loss column, and with Big Blue on bye, Dallas can really keep in contention with a big win over Cleveland. Look for Tony Romo and Dez Bryant to keep clicking. Dallas wins by 14.

Trav: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Kris: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Kris: Had to go to the expert on this game. My girlfriend, Cielle. Asked her how this game is gonna go. She says “Bucs are gonna win, they’ll play the best they’ve played all year.” I’ll take her advice on this one. Bucs by 10.

TravHouston Texans
Kris: Houston Texans

Trav: The Texans are without a doubt in my mind the best team in the NFL. They could even go on the road, against almost any team in the AFC, and I’d take them to win anyway. Thankfully for Houston fans, the team has been so on point, their playoff games will almost all certainly be played in Reliant Stadium. Houston will steamroll Jacksonville.

TravWashington Redskins
Kris: Washington Redskins

Kris:  Michael Vick getting injured might be the best thing to happen to the Eagles since, uhhhhh, since ever! Rookie Quarterback Nick Foles will be starting in place of Sir Fumblesalot and the Redskins defense should be licking their chops.

RGIII has been contained as of late and looks to get back on track against an Eagles defense that has been subject to big plays. I’m taking the rookie QB in this one and by rookie I mean, RGIII.

Trav: St. Louis Rams
Kris: St. Louis Rams

Trav: The Jets are the most dysfunctional and pathetic team in the NFL. Their locker room is about as hectic as can be, and as much as I love Rex Ryan, I would never willingly play for him and thrust myself into the New York spotlight. The Rams played an extremely tough game against San Francisco and I think they’re going to keep it up at home against Gang Green.

Trav: Cincinnati Bengals
Kris: Cincinnati Bengals

Kris: Is there any reason what so ever for anyone to pick the Chiefs? The Bengals dispatched the Giants with ease at home and should get back to their winning ways against an awful Chiefs team.

TravGreen Bay Packers
Kris: Green Bay Packers

Trav: Anyone who thought the Packers were left for dead after only a few weeks are about to be in for quite the surprise. If this team can finally get healthy, they’ll be a force in the tough NFC North. And let’s be honest, with the way James Jones and Randall Cobb have been playing, maybe getting healthy is a little overrated.

Trav: Atlanta Falcons
Kris: Atlanta Falcons

Trav: Coming off a tough loss to the Saints, the Falcons are out to prove that they’re still the top dog in the NFC South. Thankfully, they draw the Cardinals this weekend. Look for Julio Jones and Roddy White to have a big day against the staunch corners of Arizona.

Afternoon Delight: 4:15 Games

Trav: New Orleans Saints
Kris: New Orleans Saints

Kris: Although this sounds like an easy pick, I’m not buying it. Carson Palmer and the 13th ranked Oakland passing offense take on a Saints’ defense that is ranked dead last in the NFL in YPG and total defense. The Saints escaped with a win against the Falcons last week, after allowing Matt Ryan to throw for 411 yards and 3 scores. If the Saints don’t win, they can pretty much punch their ticket to an early off-season.

Trav: Denver Broncos
Kris: Denver Broncos

Trav: The Broncos are as hot as anyone in the league, and with a big win over San Diego, they can take quick control of the AFC West. Peyton Manning is looking like a serious MVP candidate, and I can’t see the Chargers stealing a victory, especially in Denver. Norv Turner is playing for his job, and after Sunday, could be looking at an early exit. Games like this make for an easy Lock of the Week.

Trav: Indianapolis Colts
KrisNew England Patriots

Kris: Come on, New England. Seriously? Can you stop anyone!? Even Ryan Fitzpatrick looks like a Top-10 QB against the AWFUL Pats defense. I’m pretty sure that even I could throw 300+ yards and 4 scores against the New England defense. To their credit, I could carve up the toughest of defenses with my cannon-of-an-arm!

The Patriots, luckily, have former Defensive Back of the Year, Aqib Talib, joining the squad after a 4-game suspension. Talib should help solidify an awful Patriots defensive backfield that has been subject to big plays all year. With Aqib’s skills as a man-to-man coverage back, he can buy the defensive linemen more time to get after the quarterback, which has been an issue as of late. By late, I obviously mean the past 3 seasons…

Andrew Luck and the 6-3 Colts are definitely a dark horse to make the playoffs as a Wild Card team. No chance they’ll catch the Texans but a Wild Card spot is possible for sure. Although I think the Colts will make this a game for the first half, I don’t think the Colts will be able to put up enough points to take down the Patriots #1 ranked offense.

Sunday Night Special: Two Stalwart Defenses Set to do Battle in The Pitt

Trav: Baltimore Ravens
Kris: Baltimore Ravens

Kris: The Ravens-Steelers match-ups are always fun to watch with these two loaded defenses, but with Ben Roethlisberger most likely sitting out, I’m going to take the Ravens. The Ravens put up a season-high 55 points against the Raiders last week and have looked more and more like an offensive threat than a defensive powerhouse. If Joe Flacco can play a clean game, with no turnovers, then the Ravens will win this game by 10 points.

Monday Night Football: Which Top Tier Defense Reigns Supreme?

Trav: San Francisco 49’ers
Kris: San Francisco 49’ers

Trav: With this article being published on Thursday night, it’s extremely tough to say who will be active, and who will be holding the clipboard. The early word is that Alex Smith will be able to play after suffering a concussion against the St. Louis Rams, and Jay Cutler’s availability is straight up in the air. If Cutler plays, I like the Niners, but only slightly. If Jason Campbell is forced into the starting role, the Niners defense might eat him alive.
